What is Content?

We use Content to refer to the information and concepts that teachers have identified as critical knowledge for students to learn.

What is Content Literacy?

Students have achieved Content Literacy when they have the skills and strategies that they need, to not only master the content, but also have the ability to manipulate and generalize that content to other learning situations.

What is the Content Literacy Continuum?

The Content Literacy Continuum is a framework of supports at five levels of increasing intensity that meet the varying needs of high, average and low achievers. Levels One and Two are for all students, while levels Three, Four and Five address the needs of those students who struggle with learning.
